Las escuelas Charter son escuelas públicas.
Charter schools are an alternative to “regular” public schools. Students may enroll in a charter school instead of the school they were assigned by their local school district. Unlike most public schools, charter schools are not limited to enrolling students from a single school district, but can recruit students from a larger area. You may consider a charter school in your school district (or even outside the district, depending on the state you live in) for your child, regardless of where the school is located.
Charter schools have fewer “limitations” than regular public schools and have more opportunities to innovate.
Because charter schools generally have more flexibility than regular public schools, they tend to be more innovative and respond better to student needs than regular public schools. They have an obligation to meet the standards of their founders when it comes to results, but they are free to work in different ways to meet the academic needs of their students and help them reach higher levels.
There are many different styles of charter schools.
Charter schools are run by large and small companies, parents, teachers, community groups and non-profit organizations
